WHAT IS CANA WELCOME ?
The CANA Welcome is a parish-based course for couples. It was first run 2013, in parishes run by the Chemin Neuf Community and now there are CANA Welcome courses run in many parishes worldwide.
CANA Welcome welcomes all those who want to deepen their relationship as a couple, who are wondering about a future commitment, or who wish to be accompanied in their life as a couple…
This course will help you discover the beauty of marriage and life together.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
9 meetings around 9 topics in small groups of about 5 couples
Each meeting is organised in 3 different parts
Input: 10 mins
Time as a Couple: 30 mins
Sharing :45 mins
To Accompany
Any man-woman couple, married or not, close to the church or not, can experience CANA Welcome.
Experience shows that it particularly answers the questions of young couples between 25 and 40 years old, often in the first years of their life together which can be the most precarious.
To Form
CANA welcome allows couples to take time together, and with others, to address the major issues related to couple life. Sharing with other couples in a fraternal setting allows them to grow into a life that is now two instead of one.
To Evangelize
Because we are Christians, we believe that CANA Welcome is also a place where each couple can discover God’s action in their lives, the Rock on which the couple can build. He is the way that can be followed with confidence. It helps them become a couple committed to the service of the Church.
